The pictured LCVP's look like ones (10) purchased from Hong Kong a few years ago by a friend. I reviewed them and found the detail was great but it was off in measurements. I build from scratch wooden amphibious assault vessels for display as well as for war gamers. Granted that building in 'waterline' offers some challenges, these are usually overcome. View the review WARGAMES ILLIUSTRATED in May's electronic issue to see the 1:100 scale LCM 3 and LCT Mk V.. The LCVP's I produce for 1:100 measure apprx. 1,2" X 4.3" while the 1:87 measure apprx. 1.4" X 5".

I would love to see a D-Day presentation in June 1944 using a rather large game table depicting the assaults on the Normandy Beaches... I live in the US so if this happens I would love to see a lot of photographs. I would consider loaning some scale ships and landing craft for such a event.. Feel free to contact me at the above email addresses.
